The ‘Brazilian’ is very different from regular bikini waxing as the hair is removed from the front, back and everywhere in between. Some women opt to leave a well cropped small amount of hair commonly called a ‘landing strip’ but in the Philippines the Full Brazilian is most common where all hair is removed.
In 2010 Vajazzling became a partner craze for Brazilian Waxing. Vajazzling is where the lady adorns her freshly waxed pubic region with Swarovski Crystals to add a little bling. Since then Vajazzling has developed into women wearing Vajazzles on all different parts of their body. (Learn More about Vajazzling in the Philippines)
Before you start having your Brazilian Wax you will normally have a choice as to which style of Brazilian you wish to have.
Brazilian waxing doesn’t have to be just functional, it can be fun too!

When you go for you Brazilian waxing session you can expect it to take anywhere between 15 to 30 minutes depending on how much pubic hair you have currently and whether it’s think or fine hair. The good news is that once you start having Brazilian Waxing session your hair will start to grow back slower and finer.
Here’s What Happens
Step 1
Find a reputable beauty salon that offers Brazilian Waxing. A reputable beauty salon will have a clean private room for you, with an area for you to lie down which should have clean disposable paper lining or clean towels to lie on. Once there, you will be asked to remove your undergarments and lay on the table.
Step 2
The Brazilian Waxer may trim your pubic hair before they start waxing you as the wax best adheres to a certain length of pubic hair. As a general rule of thumb ¼ inch of hair is just right however if you have coarse hair you may need up to ½ an inch for the wax to work best. A professional Brazilian Waxer will be able to advise you if your hair is too short for the wax to work properly.
Step 3
The waxer will liberally apply talcum powder to the skin. Talcum powder keeps hot wax from sticking to your skin.
Step 4
The waxer will dip a wooden waxing stick into a pot of hot wax and then spread it onto your skin and hair. She will then apply a cloth strip over the still-warm wax, pressing firmly so the cloth, hair and wax adhere to one another. When the wax has cooled, she will pull the strip off, in the opposite direction of your hair growth, pulling the hairs out by the root.

If this is proving too painful for you, you can ask the waxer to work on smaller areas at a time to reduce the pain.
The waxing will normally start at the front and work its way towards the back which will normally includes between the buttocks.
Step5
Once the Brazilian Waxing session is complete, the waxer will pull out any stray hairs with tweezers and then add lotion to the waxed area to lessen any pain.
Aftercare
You may develop ingrown hairs which can be tweezered by yourself or left to heal themselves. You can also use hydrocortisone cream on them or a form of Aloe cream. The best way to prevent ingrown hairs is to exfoliate the area whilst in a shower or bath as this will remove the dead skin blocking the hair’s normal growth.
